El Capitan Canyon is a wonderful and easy escape where you can hear the river running at night and watch the stars. If you know what real camping is like you will appreciate all the luxuries of a delicious deli nearby, a cozy bed with a down comforter, and a friendly staff to deliver towels and food at your request. My husband and I had a great visit and especially enjoyed riding the cruiser bikes to the beach and getting massages in our tent. The only complaint is that the cabins and tents are a little close together and if you are a couple I'd recommend staying away from holiday weekends because there are a lot of kids. It felt like a refined summer camp for adults and their families, I recommend it highly!
